Nursery Worker Needed

Are you looking for an opportunity to work with children and provide a vital ministry to a local congregation?  If so, Providence Baptist Church on Daniel Island needs you!  Our Sunday morning nursery workers are vital staff members of our church who play a critical role in the ministry of childcare for our church members and visitors.

We seek a caring individual who can work 3 hours each Sunday, arriving at church by 9:15am and working until 12:15pm.  The nursery worker will oversee greeting all members and guests as they drop their children off in the classroom before Sunday school and our worship service.  The nursery worker is responsible for initiating and engaging with the children and delegating volunteers to help with crafts, snacks, storytime, etc.  The nursery worker will also be responsible for leading clean-up efforts at the end of the shift and ask other volunteers to help as needed.

The ideal candidate would have experience caring for young children, under the age of 5, and can plan, coordinate, and manage the morning nursery session with independent judgment, creativity, and a passion for ministering to small children.  To apply, please e-mail your resume and at least two references to David Woody (woody@providencecharleston.org) at Providence Baptist Church.  The compensation for the position will range from $12-$15 per hour depending on qualifications.
