arrived at our homes informing us of the latest with our congregation and community. Mounting production and postage costs, along with requests for more current information coupled with increased online access among our membership, led us to this experiment with an online version of The Gathering's news items. Set Sail This Fall

We are in the midst of our Wednesday Night Summer Sabbatical, but the start of a new year is just around the corner. We hope that you will join us as we literally set sail on a new year. (Well, maybe not sail!) On Wednesday night August 18 we invite you to join us for a harbor cruise on the General Beauregard. We will depart from Patriot’s Point at 6:00 (sharp!) for a 2-hour cruise.
The cost is $20/adult (over 18), $10/child ($50 maximum per family) Bring a picnic supper and enjoy seeing Charleston the way it needs to be seen! This is also a great way to introduce friends and neighbors to Providence! You may register here.



Extended Session Volunteers Needed

It is almost time to redo the extended session list for the next quarter. We are one person short on the rotation with 3 year olds during the 11:15 service. We also continue to hope for more people to volunteer to go on the rotation so that we can spread out the Sundays that we work.
It is a gift to be able to care for these children and once every 6-7 weeks is not that often to have to miss worship. The rewards are well worth it! Please give this prayerful consideration and if you would consider going on the regular list, contact Vickie Guerry.
