Providence Baptist Church

News

For years, our monthly newsletter, The Gathering,
arrived at our homes informing us of the latest with our congregation and community. Mounting production and postage costs, along with requests for more current information coupled with increased online access among our membership, led us to this experiment with an online version of The Gathering's news items. Read on and let us know what you think ...

Walk for Water

Emily Moeller is our captain for Team Providence--our entry in Water Mission International's "Walk for Water" on Saturday, March 20 for Water Missions International.
We need walkers, so please go to the online page at www.watermissions.org. The website below should take you right to our fundraising page, but if not, you can just look for Team Providence. The registration fee is $10 and the process is pretty self-explanatory.

Easter Egg Hunt

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, March 27 at 10:00 am at the church. We need candy-filled eggs at the church by Wednesday, March 24. Please, no chocolate, or candy with nuts.

Extended Session Volunteers Needed

It is almost time to redo the extended session list for the next quarter. We are one person short on the rotation with 3 year olds during the 11:15 service. We also continue to hope for more people to volunteer to go on the rotation so that we can spread out the Sundays that we work.
It is a gift to be able to care for these children and once every 6-7 weeks is not that often to have to miss worship. The rewards are well worth it! Please give this prayerful consideration and if you would consider going on the regular list, contact Vickie Guerry.
